What should my baby wear?

We suggest that you bring 2 warm towels to the lessons if the venue does not provide these. We also operate a double nappy/ Happy Nappy policy. You can buy happy nappies from http://www.splashabout.com

Do I need to be able to swim myself?

Not at all, You will be able to stand up in the lessons and we will guide you every step of the way. Though we also offer swimming lessons for adults too!

Does my baby need to be fully vaccinated before starting any lessons?

You don’t need to wait until your baby is vaccinated before they start their lessons. Further details can be found on the NHS website.

At what age can my baby start swimming lessons?

You can start lessons from birth however we advise checking the specific swimming pool to check what classes are offered as it depends on a number of factors including the pool temperature.

Can we still swim if my baby has a cold?

Babies often get colds and you should be ok to continue swimming unless you baby has a fever or is vomiting or has diarrhoea.

What if my baby does not like the lessons?

It’s quite common for babies to take a bit of time to adjust to their lessons. Sometimes physiological developments and milestones can also impact a baby’s progress. Give it time and be persistent with your attendance and you will see positive results and a happy baby who enjoys being in the water.

How much time should I allow after feeding to attend a swimming lesson?

We suggest that you wait at least 60 minutes minutes after feeding your baby or toddler before you attend your swimming lesson.

Can I take photos’s and videos of my baby’s lesson?

To ensure the protection and privacy of the other students we are unable to allow any video’s or photos to be taken of the lessons.
